You can spend your holidays on the farm or in the country in several different ways. No matter if you would like to have some peace and quiet and relax or plan to spend an active sport holiday. We are sure that you will find an appropriate holiday. Families with or without children, individuals of all ages as well as groups are welcome to experience life in the country in North-Rhine Westphalia. The farm families will take good care of you and will create a fantastic atmosphere in the country for you. Discover life on a farm or benefit from the vast variety of tourist attractions around the farms and get a deeper insight into agriculture and nature. This is what makes farm holidays so appealing. • climbing opportunities, (e.g. in the Rothaar-mountains which reach up to a height of 800m and is located within the Nature Park of the Rothaar-area)
• typical of this region is the wooden architecture of the traditional farm houses with its slated roofs
• it is largest area for winter sports north of the River Main

Niederrhein / Lower Rhine and Ruhrgebiet / Ruhr

• wide landscapes with the most straight poplar alleys as well as pollard willows
• breeding grounds for birds and scarce shore and water birds as well as over wintering grounds of more than 100,000 geese e.g. the white-front geese
• Discover archaeological sights of the Romans in the Archaeological Park Xanten
• more than 1000 km of well indicated cycling and hiking paths and more that 600km indicated horseback riding tracks
• discover the stunning monuments of the largest industry area in the Ruhr on the “1000-fires-tour”

Eiffel, Region of Aachen and Bonn

• National Park Eiffel, the first one in North-Rhine Westphalia with around 240 endangered animals and plants
• Historic wooden German architecture, such as Bad Münstereifel, Monschau or Blankenheim
• The most fabulous feature of the Eiffel is the former imperial city of Bad Aachen
• The region of Bonn with the Siebengebirge / Seven Mountains is the oldest nature reserve in Germany, which is also a paradise for all hikers, nature lovers and climbers
• The city of Beethoven Bonn is a former seat of government and a university city, which is a famous place for its various tourist attractions
